The CTTC Optical Networking Area has a consolidated experience in Spanish and European public-funded R&D projects in optical networking technologies since 2002. The Optical Networking Area has led the fundamental research project DORADO(TEC2009-07995) and RESPLANDOR (TEC-2006-12910/TCM), and the International complementary action GAUDI (PCI2006-A7-0715) with the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) from Japan.
